Matthew Peterson

Matthew Peterson (Assistant Music Director, baritone) comes alive when performing with small, intimate chamber choruses, so he is thrilled and endlessly grateful to be a part of Gaude. Currently in his eighth season as a member of the San Francisco Symphony Chorus, Matthew has also made 11 solo appearances with the Symphony, most recently as Chernikovsky in their semi-staged production of Boris Godunov.  He has also appeared regularly with Cappella SF and Clerestory, and has made solo appearances with Opera San Jose, the Washington Master Chorale, and the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra.  Matthew studied piano with Hans Boepple and voice with Paul Murray at Santa Clara University.  He has been fortunate to call San Francisco his home for the past eight years.
