Gail Nakano

A Bay Area native, Gail Nakano ​(alto) received her B.A. from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY, where she studied voice with mezzo-soprano Mary Nessinger. There, she enjoyed soloing in numerous performances and won the Vassar Concerto Competition in 2010. She sang with the Simon Carrington Chamber Singers since its inception in 2009, making recordings and singing concerts in the Kansas City area for five seasons. Since her return to the Bay Area, Gail has been a part of many professional ensembles. She has been a member of the San Francisco Symphony Chorus since 2010. She has also participated in concerts and recordings as a member of Cappella SF, as well as the early Renaissance ensemble, San Francisco Pro Musica Antiqua. Gail is delighted to make her debut with Gaude in these performances.
